Kyoung has been a physical therapist since 1996.She worked at Englewood Hospital & Medical Center, NJ from 2001 to 2010 treating inpatients and outpatients. In 2007, Kyoung graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA, New York, NY) with a Master's degree in Acupuncture & Oriental medicine. In 2008, she implemented the acupuncture program in Center for Integrative Healing at Englewood Hospital and had her own acupuncture practice in Oradell, NJ. From 2011 to 2014, she worked at Medstar NRH Rehab network in Chevy Chase, MD as a physical therapist.
In 2019, Kyoung received a doctoral degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in Fairfax, VA.
Kyoung's acupuncture style and training
At Tri-Sate College of Acupuncture, Kyoung trained in three different acupuncture styles : Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) and Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese style (KM). She is also trained in Korean four needle techniques. She combines treatment styles depending on her patient's conditions and needs. Kyoung is also a second degree Reiki practitioner. She incorporates Reiki healing as needed.
